Team Leisure is a specialist leisure consultancy practice that works with a worldwide network of industry experts and professionals to offer the full range of leisure consulting services.

Led by Phil Taylor, Team Leisure offers a wealth of experience in creating and operating leisure attractions that are innovative, daring and outstandingly successful. Port Aventura Theme Park in Spain, The London Eye and Ski Dubai are just three of the world-renowned leisure projects in which Phil has had a leading role.

Over 100 assignments have been undertaken to date, including studies and development services for 20 attractions that are now operating in the GCC. Our ability to innovate, create and maintain compelling and commercially viable guest experiences is key to our unparalleled track record.

Ski Dubai is a world renowned example of where keen product insight allowed an innovative design to be developed that has continued to deliver outstanding commercial performance since it opened at the end of 2005. This was recognised in a Themed Entertainment Association award given to Ski Dubai for Outstanding Innovation.

Team Leisure’s projects have won many awards for its globally recognized innovations. In the Middle East regions, these include the Magic Planet family entertainment centre in The Avenues shopping mall in Kuwait which won Top International Family Entertainment Centre Award and Little Explorers, (part of the Playnation concept development managed by Team Leisure), which won the Time Out Dubai Best Kids Edutainment Venue Award in 2014 & 2015

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Phil Taylor

Phil has successfully combined an early career in project management with business administration to build up a significant track record in the development and operation of some of the world's most renowned leisure businesses.

With over 30 years focused exclusively on the leisure sector, Phil was a Main Board Director for The Tussauds Group and Director of The Tussauds Group Studios for 6 years. The portfolio of attractions included Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, Warwick Castle, Thorpe Park, (which Phil acquired for the Group in 1998) and Port Aventura, The London Eye and Madam Tussauds.

In the Middle East Phil is best known for his role as CEO for Ski Dubai, the world's first indoor real snow mountain resort. Phil led Ski Dubai through its development and first year of operation giving him first-hand experience of the UAE market. Even now Ski Dubai continues to win awards having been named the World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort at the World Ski Awards for 5 consecutive years from 2016 to 2020.

Phil's record of creating innovative, commercially successful leisure concepts that combine entertainment, F&B, retail and dynamic public spaces is second to none. Following the outstanding success of Ski Dubai, Phil set up Team Leisure in 2007 with a mix of direct employees and a worldwide network of Associates to bring world-class market analysis, development and operational expertise to the leisure industry.
